After retiring from IndyCar racing in 1997, he remained involved in the sport, working as a color analyst commentator for ABC/ESPN's coverage of IndyCar/CART racing, and then as a technical pit analyst for the NHRA. Florida has allowed owners of hybrid, electric and other low-emission vehicles to ride in high-occupancy-vehicle lanes with only one person in the car between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. And with the introduction of the I-95 express lanes, they don't have to pay tolls.
